Dan O'Herlihy was an Irish actor, best known for his roles in Fail Safe, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, RoboCop, and Twin Peaks, in which he played Andrew Packard.
Behind the scenes
O'Herlihy played the "Old Man" in RoboCop, making him one of three actors who appeared in this film to have significant roles in Twin Peaks. The other two are Miguel Ferrer and Ray Wise, O'Herlihy sharing scenes with the former.
His son, Gavan O'Herlihy, also appeared in Twin Peaks as Preston King.
