1. Welcome to Twin PeaksEdit

Call it what you want. A mood. A feeling"
On behalf of the residents of Twin Peaks, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit us today. I know you're going to enjoy your tour.
When I look back on these past six years as Sheriff, it's hard to believe all that's happened here in Twin Peaks. The town's really grown, and the people are changing. Business is booming. And this year, Twin Peaks High School made it to the state finals in wrestling with a co-educational squad. Unfortunately, crime's up. But I've got a real strong, conscientious team working with the FBI to solve these horrible injustices.
As you embark upon your self-guided tour, feel free to stop and talk with the townspeople. You're getting a real insider's look into a place that's different. It's a place where, as FBI Special Agent Cooper has said, "The have a cherry pie that'll kill you. Douglas firs. A yellow light that still means slow down, not speed up. Jelly donuts. A damn good cup of coffee. And air as fresh and crisp as a cracker."
-Harry S. Truman

Accomplishments:
As a teenager I became an Eagle Scout, scoring a perfect 100 on the marksmanship test. This position provided me with an understanding and appreciation of man and his environment.
Strengths:

5. Tape RecorderEdit

Agent Cooper's Tape Recorder
Episode:
All
Significance:
"Diane, I am holding in my hand a box of small chocolate bunnies." Cooper's interest in recording the smallest details of his life is made clear through his use of a tape recorder. In his autobiography, Agent Cooper: My Life, My Tapes (Pocket Books, Spring 1991), Cooper explains that this fascination dates back to his childhood days when he was forced to carry a heavy, two-reel tape recorder on his back. He was grateful when the pocket-size recorder was developed.

6. "Diane, 2:15 in the afternoon..."Edit

Famous Dialogue
Quote:
"Diane, 2:15 in the afternoon, February 24th. Entering town of Twin Peaks. Never seen so many trees in my life. Lunch was $6.31 and I left her a dollar tip. That was a tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat and a slice of cherry pie and coffee. Damn good food. And if you ever get up this way, Diane, that cherry pie is worth a stop. Okay."
-Agent Cooper
Episode:
First season, Pilot
Scene:
As he drives into Twin Peaks to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer, Special Agent Dale B. Cooper dictates into his portable tape recorder...

7. Cherry PieEdit

Recipe
8 inch Crust: 1-1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c. Crisco, 1/4 c. ice water
Mix flour and Crisco with fork. Add ice water. Mix with your hands. When blended, roll into ball and refrigerate overnight. To roll out: flour both rolling pin and flat surface, split
ball in two, roll out 1/2 to fit pan and 1/2 for lattice.
Filling: 3 c. cherries (pitted, sour frozen); 1 c. water; 1c. Baker's sugar; 4 T. cornstarch; 1/8 t. salt
Thaw cherries at room temp and strain (yields 2 c. juice). Taste for sweetness, more/less sugar may be needed. Add 1 c. water to make 3 c. juice (reserve 1 c. juice for cornstarch mix). Dissolve cornstarch in 1 c. juice, stir with whip. Combine 2 c. juice, 2/3 c. sugar, salt, and bring to a boil. Add cornstarch mix, cook until clear, about 5 min. (if cooked to long, syrup gets gummy). Remove from heat, stir in 1/3 c. sugar (blend thoroughly). Pour mixture over cherries, fold with wooden spoon, cool (stir mix while cooling to prevent scum from forming on top). Pour mix in pie shell. Top completed pie with lattice crust. Bake @ 425 degrees for 35-40 min.
"...And if you're ever in Los Angeles, Diane, try Twin Peaks Cherry Pie at DuPars REstaurant and Bakery."

I am clumsy sometimes. Luckily, I have never injured myself. Sheriff Truman tells me that I cry too much when we're working on investigation. I'm trying to be stronger. But I can't help myself. Once I start, I'm like a leaky faucet in desperate need of a plumber.

71. Production NotesEdit

Production Notes
The secrets of the woods surrounding Twin Peaks were discovered on Sunday, April 8, 1990, on ABC-TV. On this date, David Lynch and Mark Frost - creators, writers, and executive producers - introduced America, and now the world, to the mysterious timber community of Twin Peaks. Shot on location in Snoqualmie and North Bend Washington, in February and March of 1989, the show currently airs in 56 countries.
Star Pics would like to thank the following people for their creative photographic contributions to this set: Paula K. Shimatsu-U, Craig Sjodin, Dean Tokuno, Kimberly Wright, and David Lynch.
A practicing astrologer for over 20 years, Bill Herbst contributed to this set by bringing his insight and experience to Twin Peaks. After careful analysis of the character profiles, Herbst determined each character's birth-date and zodiac sign.
What will happen in the future to the natives of Twin Peaks? The thing is about secrets!
"I would sit at the keyboard, and David would sit in a comfy chair, and we would go back and forth. You throw your minds up toward the ceiling, and they meet somewhere near the light fixtures. The script becomes written by a third party. The author is someone called Lynch-Frost."
